This entire collection is truly exceptional! Hard to pic a favorite. Listening in the northern hemisphere autumn of 2023, all the songs have an "autumnal" vibe, despite the album's conceit. Just a great collection of music.

Every time I hear a new song Martin Newell writes I think it's the best song I've ever heard. One of the great pop writers of all time. Dolly Birds isn't new ground for Martin, but who cares? It's another album of consistently great tunes. Not a bad track on here and some that now rank among my favorites. You can't really go wrong with any of his albums but this one is just great front to back.
